Like a child, the earth's going to sleep,

But I'm not tired, it says.

Up the road, in his shack, the old man was sleeping again. He was still sleeping on his face and the boy was sitting by him watching him. The old man was dreaming about the lions.

He was old and wise, which meant tired and disappointed...

I ain't sleepin'. I got too much to puzzle with.
