History has shown that one person's willingness to stand up for what is right can be the spark that ignites far-reaching change.

True resistance begins with people confronting pain... and wanting to do something to change it.

But now, I think that if you believe in something or can help make a change for the better then it is important to speak up.

When we say I won't take this anymore, that's when we know who we are and what we'll tolerate. Until we're tested, we don't know those things. That's when we wake up. That's when we know who we are. That's when people will show up and take your side. When you decide what it is you stand for, when standing is the hardest.

I think it’s important to be your own advocate and to stand up for what you believe in, even if it means going against the status quo.

to me, when people themselves know what they are looking for and recognize that they can exercise some influence by action, that's progress.

It’s the struggle that counts. You have to be willing to struggle.

When I see people stand fully in their truth, or when I see someone fall down, get back up, and say, “Damn. That really hurt, but this is important to me and I’m going in again” — my gut reaction is, “What a badass.

These changes are part of what keeps me interested and excited. Life won't let me keep coming at it from the same angle.

You can only push people so far before they are going to stand up for themselves and take a hard position on what is fair and what is right. They are going to continue to come forward

Someone must be bold enough to challenge the status quo.

What I admire most are people who put themselves directly on the line.

They want to see someone forced into action and positively overcoming obstacles.

To force a change sometimes you need to stand up. You know what you’re worth – rather than what your employer is paying you. We’re not scared. To move the women’s game ahead we need to do what’s necessary. I feel other national teams are looking at us for that guidance.
