About Tzachi Hanegbi

Tzachi Hanegbi (Hebrew: צחי הנגבי) (born 26 February 1957) is an Israeli cabinet Minister and National Security expert, who currently serves as chairman of the National Security Council of Israel, and National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister. Hanegbi was Chairman of the governing Likud party after Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. He served as Minister of Justice, Minister of National Security, Minister of Strategic and Nuclear Affairs, Minister of Health, and Minister in the Prime Minister's Office in-charge of national security and nuclear affairs. He also served as chairman of the powerful Knesset foreign Affairs and defense committee, and supervised on behalf of the Prime Minister of Israel the Intelligence agencies Mossad and Sin Bet and Israel's Atomic Energy Agency.
