تمر المرأة خلال حياتها بمراحل إنتقالية صعبة. والعبور من مرحلة إلى أخرى ليس سهلًا كما قد يبدو، إذ تحتاج الكثير من المساعدة والدعم والنصيحة قبل أن تعود بأكملها إلى الحياة فى الزمن الحاضر مرة أخرى. تمر أوقات تتعثر فيها آلة جسدها ويصيبها العطب.وتلك هى الحكمة القديمة والبسيطة التى لا نعيرها انتباهًا فى سعينا لنكون قويات وناجحات وفى أوج كمالنا طوال الوقت .

It is because of identity politics – we are, sadly, becoming more tribal. The expectation seems to be that a writer from each tribe must tell the story of that tribe. I’m Turkish but also many other things. For me, imagination is a desire to transcend boundaries. When we write, we can be multiple.

God was a maze without a map, a circle without a centre; the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that never seemed to fit together. If only she could solve this mystery, she could bring meaning to senselessness, reason to madness, order to chaos, and perhaps, too, she could learn to be happy.
