When you empower a woman, you empower a community. Women are the backbone of society, and their empowerment has a ripple effect that touches every aspect of community life.

We need the government to empower women by developing their capacity and providing them with opportunities to acquire leadership skills.

And that’s why we support societies that empower women -- because no country will reach its potential unless it draws on the talents of our wives and our mothers, and our sisters and our daughters.

We want to empower women and encourage women and to develop civil societies so women can benefit.

When a woman can be empowered she can, they are very important people in our society, I call on women to enroll in large numbers in the colleges and Universities so that they can be the catalyst for development in our region.

I had this feeling ... women should be part and parcel of the whole movement, even of running the country. Women should be involved in decision making. That was my aim.

You are the engine that runs this country; the energy behind the country’s endurance and resilience. We will do everything to protect the rights of women. We will provide opportunities for our women and youth, to generate income and become prosperous. We will empower you politically.
