I’d been in love with acting from the age of six, and went to a school where drama was important, so had appeared in a lot of amateur productions – I fell for the theatre before the cinema. My parents were passionate about it too.

I studied Theater Art’s because I wanted to be an actor. I couldn’t see myself doing anything else with my life.I knew that acting was the main passion, my main passion. I like singing, like so many other things but my main passion is acting. And I thought that it was important, if you want to do something, for you to go and study it

I’ve always had the passion for acting since I was a kid. It just had to be acting

Acting was always something I wanted to do, I remember playing a school teacher in a church play when I was young. I had so much fun doing that, so when the opportunity came up I took it.

Acting is always what I’ve always wanted to do even when I was in secondary school. It has always been there. So, when I graduated I went into acting.

I was very interested in theatre—mostly in stage design but I did a little bit of acting.

I was a super shy, awkward kid, and performing was a comfortable and joyful way of expressing myself that allowed me the freedom to do so. The passion for acting grew from there. From the time I was little, being on the stage or inhabiting a character was always where I was happiest.

Growing up, my love for theater was insatiable. I just love to make people laugh and clap and smile. When I discovered drama and the ability to move people to tears, it was so powerful. As much as you can feel like God created you to do something, I believe He made me to entertain.

I realised I had a talent for acting when all the grown-ups around me started to pay a little more attention to me and started to encourage me and my love for it. I just knew I loved playing pretend, as most children do, but it seemed to grow and deepen in me the older I became

Acting was the thing I wanted to do; it was the passion

For me it is not an inspiration, it’s a passion. I have been passionate about acting for as long as I could remember. I can’t really recall what made me to go into acting but I knew right from the beginning that it was what I had wanted to do.

My inspiration started in primary school through our drama club and organizations I was part of. When we used drama and media as an advocacy tool to create awareness on issues that we were campaigning against. That was the entire journey started and the passion for media and acting.

Being an actress has always been my biggest dream. I was interested in theater from primary and secondary school. After that, I graduated from the Actor Studio Department of the Müjdat Gezen Art Center. I took private lessons from many esteemed names and soon started my career in a daily television series in İzmir.

Theatre has often saved the day for me and that’s why I’ll forever think I’m a theatre actor more than anything else.
