My journey has been a continuous learning process, marked by a commitment to storytelling that resonates with the audience. Each project is a step in that evolution, a quest to connect with people on a deeper, more meaningful level. A producer is more than just an investor; they are the architects of a film. Responsible for the entire creative and business process, from idea conception to assembling the right team, managing budgets, and overseeing production. While not visible on screen, a producer's influence is integral to every aspect of the filmmaking journey.

I would like to encourage my fellow Rwandan female filmmakers to pursue their dreams and ambitions.

Ever since I came to Rwanda, I’ve been working with different NGOs in areas related to filming. As of now, I can say that filming is already part of my everyday life.

The challenges they are facing these days include the discouragement of the makers of these Rwandan Cinemas, which has made them seem to be at a low level, and there is a gap in the sales of these films

There are times that we need to up our games as actors, producers and other professions in the film making industry; we need to be professional and do things right. The fault in our movies did not just happen because we lack money, they also come with the way we handle things as professionals, though, money is also a big factor.There are other things that are attached to film making which we need to look at to move the industry forward

My dream role is that of a producer – a woman behind the scenes – who creates roles for diversity in films. I want to help create an industry that demonstrates what our society is as a whole.

Attention should be paid to details regarding every facet of the industry from scripting, to makeup, to costume, to location, to props, equipment, cast and crew, etc. The quality of all these will add to production value. And very importantly, there should be unity among producers to solve the ongoing distribution problem. Distribution is a major problem that needs to be looked into. We have the population yet very limited distribution networks. We need to unilaterally come up with a lasting solution that will benefit everyone. This can also be a revenue spinner in years to come. Royalty will be earned from a movie forever with proper structures in place.

Like other Rwandans, life has not been easy for artistes. There is need to support artistes in their various federations in order for them to continue with their efforts to develop the Cultural and Creative Industry,

You get to contribute so significantly in the editing room because you shape the movie and the performances," she says. "You help the director bring all the hard work of those who made the film to fruition. You give their work rhythm and pace and sometimes adjust the structure to make the film work – to make it start to flow up there on the screen. And then it's very rewarding after a year's work to see people react to what you've done in the theater.

I have to keep making films in my country so that it gets established as an industry at home.

We need to shoot more movies that promote and celebrate our culture. Right now, it should be all about presenting our stories to the Western world. I think Nollywood needs to shoot more indigenous, historical movies to tell our stories like ‘Sango’ and all of that. We can change the Nigerian narrative through our films. I believe Nigerian filmmakers have a lot of power in their hands to change our society and even hold our politicians accountable.

This plan will focus on issues such as international standards for art development and the improvement of infrastructure and training opportunities. These efforts will contribute to the growth and recognition of the arts in Rwanda, attracting cultural tourism and establishing a stronger international presence for Rwandan art and culture.

Often many filmmakers will want to tackle something that has to do with corruption. Many want to touch upon things that are happening to them, issues of drug taking and so on. Others want to express themselves as musicians and to accept themselves as individuals.
