I think the scariest things are hidden in plain view, meaning you can see something and your intuition will tell you there's something not right about this person or there's something about this situation that my gut is telling me isn't right and your rational mind will say "just get over it, everything is fine, you're fine." Something could be so scary because it's right there, it's hidden in plain sight, and that to me is the psychology of fear.
