A very difficult crisis between Russia and Ukraine that began on 24 February (2022) has become one of the most pressing geopolitical challenges for the world. This is a blow to the economies of countries that have just begun recovering from the two-year (COVID-19) pandemic and to the positive outlook of the world's banking and financial institutions on economic growth. Now, we are also facing the challenge of how to grow the Mongolian economy in these difficult times – but we are optimistic.

Vision 2050, Mongolia's long-term development policy, is committed to creating a comprehensive, multifaceted development system that fully supports individuals with disabilities and guarantees their equal participation in society. As part of this overarching vision, we are establishing a Center for the Development of People with Disabilities in every province and district (in the country). Our focus is not just on providing physical infrastructure; it's about delivering essential care services and, more importantly, safeguarding the voices and rights of individuals with disabilities within our society. We must work towards changing societal attitudes towards disabilities.

In 2025, the government (of Mongolia) will focus on the development of Ulaanbaatar based on the Regional Development Concept. A Performance Monitoring Unit has been established in this regard. One of the major developments to be carried out in Ulaanbaatar this year is the Tuul Highway, which is a six-lane horizontal axis highway, without traffic lights or intersections. A vertical axis road will also be built and intersect with the Tuul Highway. The city authorities noted that the construction of the highway will be completed within 24 months. This includes land acquisition, bids, and investment activities. We call on the citizens of the capital to work together to support the development of our city. We will swiftly implement measures to solve the pressing issues of Ulaanbaatar city, such as air pollution, energy and congestion. In this regard, we also plan to adopt specialized laws to create a suitable legal environment.
