There's something about love that resembles faith. It's kind of a blind trust, isn't it? The sweetest euphoria. The magic of connecting with a being beyond our limited, familiar selves. But if we get carried away by love- or by faith- it turns into a dogma, a fixation. The sweetness becomes sour. We suffer in the hands of gods that we ourselves created.

A life of faith without love is like sunlight without warmth — the type of light that occurs in winter, when nothing grows and everything droops and dies. Faith rising out of love, on the contrary, is like light from the sun in spring, when everything grows and flourishes. Warmth from the sun is the fertile agent. The same is true in spiritual and heavenly affairs, which are typically represented in the Word by objects found in nature and human culture.

Suffering without faith would be like love without hope.

Theology, I still think, is due to lack of faith.

Love is a fault; so be it.

I think the essential point is a weakness of faith.

Faith is not a virtue, but a character flaw.

Faith gives us hope, so if faith is lost, hope flees away like mist in the wind. Loss of faith leads to loss of hope, which leads to despair. Life becomes pointless and without value.

Probably I am a fool…most poets are fools…but for some reason I love faith, but have none.

If I loved you, well that's my fault

Many get problems because they no longer have faith in their lives, and some get something small and end up killing themselves. We do not know where this world is heading to after people losing faith and start behaving badly in public. If people continue to lose faith in their lives many bad things will continue to happen in this world, which leads many people to do ill to others.

O I do so agree with you in Faith being the thing! But Henry (my dear) I can't I can't I can't and I won't (even if it is the old devil himself in me!) I can't agree with you about 'Love'. No no no no no no no no no no I am sick of love. It has been tried and it has failed. Jesus & Love have had their day.

The problem is that people think faith is something to be admired. In fact, faith means you believe in something for which you have no evidence.

For he who loves God without faith reflects on himself, while the person who loves God in faith reflects on God.
