Charles R. Swindoll (born October 18, 1934) is an American evangelical pastor, author, and radio preacher. He founded the Insight for Living radio ministry in 1979, now carried on more than 2,000 stations worldwide, and served as senior pastor of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas. He later became president and then chancellor of Dallas Theological Seminary and has written more than 70 books.
