Najib Razak (born July 23, 1953) is a Malaysian politician who served as the sixth Prime Minister of Malaysia from 2009 until 2018. During his tenure, he was implicated in the misappropriation of billions of dollars from the state investment fund, 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB). This led to numerous charges of corruption and money laundering against him.
