He is the founder of Shift4 Payments, a payment processor, and of Draken International, a private adversary-air-training provider. He commanded Inspiration4 (2021), the first all-civilian orbital spaceflight, and Polaris Dawn (2024), during which he became the first private citizen to perform a spacewalk.
