Jim Rohn (September 17, 1930 – December 5, 2009), full name Emanuel James Rohn was an American entrepreneur, author, and motivational speaker. He wrote numerous books.

It’s hard to appreciate succeeding until you’ve done some failing. And once you’ve done some failing, success takes on even more worth and value.
Many of those in search of success and happiness are already working hard, but they just do not seem to be getting anywhere. The problem is that in order to produce the desired results we must put intelligence as well as intensity into our activity. Action without intelligence can be destructive. But we must not spend too much time in the process of acquiring intelligence. All things must be in their rightful ratio. It is so easy to mistake motion for progress and movement for achievement. That is why activity must be deliberately planned, carefully refined and consistently executed.
The first will be your skills. These skills will enable you to help people improve their lives. Secondly, you will have found your customers and have a quality product to sell them. Finally, if you have taken the time to seek out quality people, you will have a pool of good people to help you with your endeavor. Now you are ready to make money and change lives; your life and the lives of those around you!
