Such is the attitude of the Holy Father with regard to Chinese Catholics on both sides of the Strait of Taiwan. Since I am not a prophet, I cannot tell you what will happen in the future to our relations. As a true mother, the Church will not and cannot abandon her children, whatever country they may find themselves in.
