British actress (1934–2024)
Dame Margaret Natalie Smith CH DBE (28 December 1934 – 27 September 2024) was an English actress. With an extensive career in theatre, film, and television over seven decades. Smith also achieved the Triple Crown of Acting winning two Academy Awards, a Tony Award, and four Primetime Emmy Awards. She received numerous accolades including five BAFTA Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and five Screen Actors Guild Awards. She was particularly known for her wit in comedic roles.
