Maud Gonne MacBride (21 December 1866 – 27 April 1953) was an English-born Irish republican revolutionary, suffragette, writer, and actress. During the 1930s, as a founding member of the Social Credit Party, she promoted the distributive programme of . Gonne was well known for being the muse and long-time love interest of Irish poet W. B.
