British writer (1827–1876)
Mortimer Collins (29 June 1827 – 28 July 1876) was an English writer and novelist. He went to London, where he devoted himself to journalism in the Conservative Party interest, writing largely for periodicals. He also wrote a good deal of occasional and humorous verse, and several novels.
