This award is a slap in the face to mainstream music, which effortlessly graces every radio station while world music suffers from a lack of visibility. It's proof that there's still an audience that believes in our work. It gives me courage and the desire to believe in it after a long period of doubt and COVID. This award is also a wonderful gift for the musicians who carry me on stage and for Tartine Production, which supports me.
