Theodore Fulton "Ted" Stevens (November 18, 1923 - August 9, 2010) was an American politician. He served in the United States Senate from Alaska from 1968 to 2009 and was president pro tempore from 2003 to 2007. He was the longest-serving Republican Senator in history.
