My advice to young ladies is to keep and fight for their marriages. Perhaps, I was naïve; I never fought for what was mine, but I still thank God. We are in Africa, you fight for your life and that of your children first. Maybe that is why God has been merciful to me and my children.

While I have told about my successes, did I make mistakes? [I made] more than enough; many mistakes that I bitterly regret. First of all, my mistake was the court.

Considering some of the mistakes I've made along the way, I tell myself that it's not so bad. I would have loved to have a child. The time I could have had one, I was too young and I didn't accept it. I happened to see the man with whom it could have happened and I felt a mutual regret.

As a woman and human being I was created to love and forgive, but in this, I deserve to be laughed at, carried and looked down on. I’m not here to defend or show sympathy it’s true I made mistakes and I’ve realized my mistakes, I’m not perfect. I sure do miss my family, siblings, and friends. Making a mistake is not a mistake, a mistake is repeating a mistake. I forgive my X and I’m ready for the next.

I regret everything. But if I had done things differently, it would never have been as compelling.

I would have loved to do certain things differently but no regrets. At the beginning I fought all battles that came my way, but with hindsight, I’ve realised that not all battles are worth fighting because you will just dissipate energy on needless battles. Don’t ask me for an example of such battles; they are personal and may cause embarrassment to some people.

"I made a mistake. I made the choice to, at that time, protect myself, to protect my family, and I’ve paid the consequences dearly".

I have made many mistakes and no doubt will make more before I die. When I have seen pain, when I have found that my ineptness has caused displeasure, I have learned to accept my responsibility and to forgive myself first, then to apologize to anyone injured by my misreckoning. Since I cannot in-live history, and repentance is all I can offer God, I have hopes that my sincere apologies were accepted.

I...regret...what I did. It was wrong. Very wrong. But regret is meaningless.

As I look back on that time, I think that there were mistakes that I made... I also think that my initial instinct that I was not the best person to put themselves forward as a potential prime minister, well most of my colleagues agreed.

I have only one regret … that I have not worked harder.
