I've had a great day today. I flew for thirteen hours and I somehow didn't watch t.v. the whole time. I didn't notice until I was off the plane. I wonder what I was thinking about. I'm one of those people that you have to keep your eye on or I'll wander off into the woods and forget to come back.

Always watch where you are going. Otherwise, you may step on a piece of the Forest that was left out by mistake.

To keep a watch upon oneself.

It would require constant vigilance to not replace each person with my own fictional version of them.

I always try to remember who I am.

You follow your feelings, you follow your dreams;
You follow the leader into the trees.
And what's in there waiting, neither one of us knows.
You gotta keep one eye open the further you go.

So if you do something, you should be observant, and careful, and alert.

Here’s the thing about constant surveillance—the question you must ask yourself is not “Am I being overheard?” but “Is anybody paying attention to me?”
