Majumdar (abbreviated as Abubakar Zakaria) (born 1969) is a Bangladeshi Salafi Islamic scholar, media personality, professor, author, da'i and Islamic speaker. He is a professor in the Department of Al Fiqh and Legal Studies, Islamic University of Bangladesh. He talks on Islamic programs of various television channels including NTV, Peace TV, on his personal YouTube channel and in various waz mahfils. He also writes in newspapers and magazines. His Bengali translation of the Qur'an and a brief commentary known as Tafseer Zakaria was published by King Fahd Printing Press, a government publishing house in Saudi Arabia. His books Hindusiat wa Tasoor and Shirk fil Qadim wal Hadith are highly acclaimed and popular in the Arab world. Besides, several of his books are included in the government higher education curriculum of Bangladesh.
