I hope I can inspire others by playing football.

In football I enjoyed competing and wanted to be the best.That was also part of it.There were quite a few factors.I loved the game,it was a great way to socialize and I liked playing against girls because it meant competing on a level playing field.

But because of my passion and love for football, I was able to follow my dream.

I wanted to prove them wrong, especially when they said I would never make it, that it's not a girl's sport, there were obviously down days and stuff, like there in that moment how it made me feel, but I just kept playing football because I was in love with the game, which I still am. And it makes me happy.

I fell in love with football when I was a little girl. No matter what, I don’t play football for the money. I play football because I love it.

By the time the World Cup in 2015 came along, it was like I was always eager to play. I loved playing the big tournaments -- the World Cup and the Olympics. I loved being there and seeing the crowd cheering me on, watching me doing my best and doing what I love the most.

I was on the football team because I wanted to experience the different iconic social classes of high school. So football for me was an attempt to socially integrate in an interesting way. And then I didn’t like it anymore and stopped doing it and focused more on drama and science and other forms of art and music.

Football was just the playing I enjoyed at first,but the longer you're playing the more it becomes a social event.You meet new people and make new friends.I still know some of the people I played with when I was 11-years-old, which is nice.

Football is my life. Football is everything to me. Now I stopped playing professionally but, I still play when it’s time to enjoy with friends.

I’m just trying to make my best, to play good football, to adapt to the team and to get along with the fans.

The dream comes true and I think it’s a new opening for players to know there’s life after football and that you can do other stuffs apart from being an agent. I’d look forward to giving back, but in a different kind of way.

I don’t play football solely for myself. I do it for the younger generation too. I do it for young black females that aspire to be professional footballers in the future.

Even if I were born again, I’d still play football.
