"Long Years apart — can make no"

Long Years apart — can make no
Breach a second cannot fill — The absence of the Witch does not
Invalidate the spell — The embers of a Thousand Years
Uncovered by the Hand
That fondled them when they were Fire
Will stir and understand —

About Emily Dickinson

Emily Elizabeth Dickinson (December 10, 1830 – May 15, 1886) was an American poet. Virtually unknown in her lifetime, Dickinson has come to be regarded as one of the greatest American poets of the 19th century. Although she wrote (at latest count) 1789 poems, only a few of them were published in her lifetime, all anonymously, and some perhaps without her knowledge.

Mansions must exclude the storm!

"Many Mansions," by "his Father,"
I don't know him; snugly built!
Could the Children find the way there — Some, would even trudge tonight!
