By 2030, wanting to live to 120 will be seen as a modest goal.

stability is now a liability, we need plasticity. for thousands of years, success meant creating stability (i.e. building walls, storing grain). with AI, stability is death. success will be rapid adaptation which humans are very good at (though makes them very grumpy).

When I think from the perspective of those living in the year 2500, I imagine they’ll look back on the 2020-2030s as the moment humanity realized they were the first generation who wouldn’t die.
