What would have happened? What happens to the people who attend schools when schools are no longer able to function as the critical component of the social safety net that they are? What happens when children are not caught before they fall? I wonder, often, what would have happened to me if I had grown up not in the ’90s but under back-to-back B.C. Liberal governments.

Bowinn Ma, MLA, (born July 25, 1985) is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the British Columbia Legislative Assembly in the 2017 provincial election. Ma then stood for re-election in the 2020 British Columbia general election, again for the British Columbia New Democratic Party in the riding of North Vancouver-Lonsdale.
