The Governing Council should have advertised for the position of a substantive vice chancellor but they could not because of the court case. Eventually the Council advertised and we all applied. My appointment as acting vice chancellor started in October last year. If people are not happy they should go to court.

I came in as Acting Vice-Chancellor and, by the grace of God, was elevated as substantive Vice-Chancellor. I would not be fair to myself if I say I have not encountered challenges.
