My mother was the shaping force in my life. Don't ask me how but she always had money for my dancing lessons. She was convinced I was going to be somebody.

I watched my mother do what she did best, and realized there would never be a way to cut myself from her entirely. No matter how strong or weak I was, she was a part of me, as crucial as my own heart. I would never be strong enough, in all my life, to do without her.

I’m very close to my mum. She has a strong faith that gives her this amazing sense of peace. I admire her; she's a very strong woman.

I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life.

My grandmother always encouraged me in my studies, and I think she would be proud of what I have been able to achieve.

My mum was a strong woman but she didn’t really understand what the sport is all about. She was there for me whenever she can and whatever she could do for me, she tried her best.
