I am inspired by a lot of women who have come before me. I am inspired by people who had been told they couldn’t do something but pushed through and overcame it.

The strength of women continues to inspire me.

But I think it is important for all women who have succeeded and achieved in their own right, to find the time to mentor and create reality for this future generation.

I am inspired by women who refuse to be silent because they are women. Women who reject the status quo, who go where they aren’t supposed to, women who refuse to be defined by gender/qualification/marital status…women who refuse to be defined, period!

Small breakthroughs inspire me. I am motivated when I see smiles on the face of a woman who took a decision to leave an abusive relationship; I am inspired when a young woman sees the big picture and dedicates herself to championing the cause of women. I rededicate myself when I see women in positions of power stand with other women.

Successful women don’t reach their goals because they are geniuses but because they are determined to do so. Never be satisfied with small things. Ladies working in the same professional should develop forums where they can discuss issues.

And, because of the life that I shared with these two amazing women [her mother and maternal grandmother] and the hardships and struggles that I saw them overcome, I learned an invaluable lesson: and that is that women can do anything we set our minds to . . . and then some!

I am inspired by the different ways that women stand up for themselves, and are constantly navigating through the waters of patriarchal traditions to take up space.

The people that inspire me the most are Nigerien women. They are so keen to make the lives of the future generation better.

I have fulfilled my dreams. I hope to inspire young women to be fearless in pursuing what sets their souls on fire. I want to teach them to be brave enough to explore uncharted territory and make strides in male-dominated industries

Bring out the women. They have the ability and the strength. They are able to excel.

I inspire women in science all over the world, and more so in Africa.

So yes, inspiration goes both ways, and mentorship of girls and women really matters; it turns them into successful people.
