99% of effective writing is overcoming the urge to be clever, avoiding the internet's distractions, taking long walks, and being specific.

I'm convinced prolific writing comes down to one habit:

Effortless and constant capturing of ideas.

Every writer I look up to talks about how little they rely on their mind to "remember" ideas.

So they set up inboxes to capture ideas everywhere, then review them later.

I read a lot less today than I did 5 years ago. 99% of my reading was really just procrastination disguised as productivity. Instead, I invest in courses and masterminds when I need help.
