So many people are shut up tight inside themselves like boxes, yet they would open up, unfolding quite wonderfully, if only you were interested in them.

So many of us!
So many of us! We are shelves, we are
Tables, we are meek,
We are edible, Nudgers and shovers
In spite of ourselves.
Our kind multiplies: We shall by morning
Inherit the earth.
Our foot's in the door.

Perhaps some day I'll crawl back home, beaten, defeated. But not as long as I can make stories out of my heartbreak, beauty out of sorrow.
