Servant or wife, man always reckons on woman to do the housework.

But woman, too, at least claims her share in the emancipation of humanity. She no longer wants to be the beast of burden of the house. She considers it sufficient work to give many years of her life to the rearing of her children. She no longer wants to be the cook, the mender, the sweeper of the house! And, owing to American women taking the lead in obtaining their claims, there is a general complaint of the dearth of women who will condescend to domestic work in the United States. My lady prefers art, politics, literature, or the gaming tables; as to the work-girls, they are few, those who consent to submit to apron-slavery, and servants are only found with difficulty in the States. Consequently, the solution, a very simple one, is pointed out by life itself. Machinery undertakes three-quarters of the household cares.

Close your eyes and pretend you are living with a woman — how would you divide the housework?

When men did most of the work women worked to make home a site of comfort and relaxation for males. Home was relaxing to women only when men and children were not present. When women in the home spend all their time attending to the needs of others, home is a workplace for her, not a site of relaxation, comfort, and pleasure.

But it’s different with a woman. Her work in the house is to keep not to get.

If the wife works, the husband's rights are not fulfilled, if the wife works, the child's rights are not fulfilled, if the wife works, her charm is lost, if the wife works, the family is destroyed, if the wife works, the veil is destroyed, if the wife works, the society is destroyed. A husband who says to his wife - My wife does not need to work. I will feed you what I get, she is his queen. Now she wants to be a servant instead of a queen. Today the main reason for unemployment of boys is - girls are coming forward, boys are not getting any jobs. Giving a job to a son benefits the whole family. As far as women are concerned, I am old-fashioned enough to like the idea of a woman's managing the household. This is an important activity. A woman does not have to be a bank vice-president to find happiness. I should think routine work like sitting at a desk writing letters, making reports, or punching data into computers would be much less interesting and satisfying than running a home.

It’s a class notion that women should be in the home with children. It is a very narrow strata of females who have been able to be married, have children and be home. Most women in the world are forced to work outside of the home, especially if they have children, because there isn’t any other chance for survival.

The overseer should be responsible for the duties of the housekeeper. If the master has given her to you for a wife, you should be satisfied with her, and she should respect you. Require that she be not given to wasteful habits; that she does not gossip with the neighbours and other women. She should not receive visitors either in the kitchen or in her own quarters. She should not go out to parties, nor should she gad about.

Women should always do the dirty work

"I've seen women insist on cleaning everything in the house before they could sit down to write... and you know it's a funny thing about housecleaning... it never comes to an end. Perfect way to stop a woman. A woman must be careful to not allow over-responsibility (or over-respectabilty) to steal her necessary creative rests, riffs, and raptures. She simply must put her foot down and say no to half of what she believes she "should" be doing. Art is not meant to be created in stolen moments only."

Women should love God and care for their homes. They should make their homes top of their priorities and pray all the time. They should avoid their husbands’ dislikes too.

When you are a house wife it is assumed you don't work, But if u calculate the amount of time that goes into cooking, cleaning, washing and taking care of children it's a lot.

I also believe that no matter at what level of your career, as a woman you have to have a good balance between your work life and your family life.

To create harmony in the home is the woman's right and duty.
