The question does not arise in these terms. We are in economic matters and when the trust that constitutes the basis of the relationship is lost, the party who does not feel secure has the right to refer the matter to the competent jurisdiction. This is what is being done. Certainly, the Government has launched a public call for dialogue. But beyond this initiative, nothing is being done to reassure the Beninese economic operator. On the contrary, officially, he is asked to put the ball on the ground and unofficially, some are allowed to blacken his image by inventing improbable stories and disseminating inaccurate information. They are trying to stab him in the back and this is unacceptable! I know the case well enough not to accept such an attitude. This is an injustice and a scandal that none of our Beninese compatriots can bear! The whole world will know and justice will decide.
Only the government of Benin can respond to this allegation. It is true that if our authorities had respected their commitments and signed the relevant agreements, this important development project would have already been completed since 2012. Unfortunately, this has not been the case, a fact that the population is unaware of.
