British writer (1766–1848)
Isaac D'Israeli (11 May 1766 – 19 January 1848) received much of his education in Leiden and as early as his sixteenth year began his literary career with some verses to Dr. Johnson. He was the father of the British prime minister, Benjamin Disraeli.
