I do put a lot of pressure on myself to perform. I think that’s only natural.

I had high expectations of myself from the start. I think I had a rather smooth journey in showbiz — I always had work opportunities knocking on my door, but rather than being stressed over a lack of work, I put pressure on myself because I wanted to do better. When you want to become better, you put more pressure on yourself as well.

I am extremely grateful for all the attention and anticipation for my work, but I will admit that sometimes it does put pressure on me. Honestly speaking, I tend to be someone who follows my own heart and is drawn to and chooses productions that resonate with me.

I work extremely hard doing what I love, mainly to ensure that I don't have to work extremely hard doing what I hate.

What keeps me going is the love for the job.

Nobody beat me up as much as I beat myself up. This is what I love doing, and I have one life to do it in, and I better do it right, I better do it well.

I've not sold my soul to get where I am and despite the stress, I like what I'm doing and I do it with passion.

Since I love what I do, I do it vigorously and I do it better. Because I inject it with enthusiasm and passion, it doesn't feel like work. My passion spills over to everyone around me and motivates them to do their very best.
