You never need to describe something as a "bad take." If it's false or irrelevant or omits something important, you can just say so. And if it's true, relevant, and complete, it's not a bad take.

You [high school students] don't need to be in a rush to choose your life's work. What you need to do is discover what you like. You have to work on stuff you like if you want to be good at what you do.

I suppose designating "sectors of focus" for your VC firm could be harmless, so long as it's only something you tell LPs and not something you start to believe yourself.
