Geshe Kelsang Gyatso (Born 19 July 1931 {4th day of the 6th month of an Iron-Sheep year in the Tibetan calendar} – 17 September 2022) was a meditation master and internationally renowned teacher of Buddhism. He was the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union which has over 1,000 Centers and groups in over 40 countries around the world. He is also the author of 21 books which form the most comprehensive presentation of Buddhism available in any Western language.
