Aside from that, I really hope that this group can help people feel more tied to their city and to be more invested in caring for it

If we are going to bring Angelenos inside and move our city in a new direction, we must have a single strategy to unite our city and county and engage the state, the federal government, the private sector and every other stakeholder.

They need to actually be friends with the community by their actions and interaction with the citizens.

Change should be a friend. It should happen by plan, not by accident.

I have hope that people who are interested in helping the development of our communities will come forward. Besides, I hope warm connections between parishes in Eastern Ukraine and in the Toronto Eparchy will form, which will lead to permanent cooperation.

I think it’s really important that I sit down and have very important and solution-oriented conversations with the people who have been holding the city down through multiple administrations and find out first what solutions are they wanting to bring to the table. I think that’s really important not just for buy-in but for effective solution building.”

I have seen the hussle our people in Tororo go through and I want to use my experience and skills to bring positive change. I believe that with unity and compassion, we can build a better Tororo.

We have always wanted community input. We have to meet people where they are and we want them to tell us how their government can work for them not the other way around

Go down to City Hall and see what is on the agenda for the next council meeting—garbage collection, water supply, it does not matter which one—then go and learn everything you can about it. Read past reports, talk to people, learn the topic until you know it as well as anyone. Then when you get up to speak, or to make a suggestion for change, your voice will be heard because you are knowledgeable. That is how reform works.

I therefore look forward to collaborating with other delegates to chart the way for a better a new Nigeria. We all want to see a positive transform Nigeria and I therefore urge all of us to work individually and collectively so as to set the right agenda for the Nigeria of our dream.

Our list of challenges are many, politics notwithstanding. But my number one priority is to ensure we start a journey towards making Nairobi a better city for all of us by building working partnerships and relationships with our partners who include; the National government, Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) and Kenya Revenue Authority(KRA) and other stakeholders.

We are the changes and we are part of the changes we want in Nigeria.

Our goal is to create a beloved community and
this will require a qualitative change in our souls
as well as a quantitative change in our lives.

I have hope because civil society is becoming better informed and more engaged. They are pressing their governments for change — to create democratic societies based on diversity, tolerance and equality. They are proposing creative solutions. They are raising awareness, donating funds, working to transform civic spirit from the local to the global. Working to bring the human family closer together.
