“What is the ultimate meaning of the holy truths?”
Bodhidharma said, “Empty, nothing holy.”
The emperor said, “Who is answering me?” Bodhidharma said, “Don’t know.”
The emperor didn’t understand.
Bodhidharma subsequently crossed the Yangtse River into the kingdom of Wei.
