There are a lot of very good people running for this position,

[Could he end up leading the main parliamentary opposition within five years?] It's possible. It never was before, but it's possible now.

I don't want racism or sectarianism in my party and we will be sorting out candidate selection [...] We do not want to have this problem again.
If we had got 25 we wouldn't have been entirely sure who or what we got. But we have five very solid, sensible people who will be able to really push on and make the case for Reform. There will be no embarrassments and we have the foothold we needed.

They are passionate and committed members of the party and founded on their experience, they will provide a purposeful leadership to the forum and renew hope for the party.

[M]any Tea Party folks are going to find me, I believe, to be the ideal candidate.

[Our party] must [have] a renewal of leadership; new people in politics in this country... professionals, middle class, and Indians; the Indians cannot be on the sidelines.

I would vote for a Muslim if he or she was the best candidate able to lead the country and defend our political values.

People are giving up tremendous careers in order to be subject to you folks and subject to a lot of other folks. But they're giving up a lot. I mean some are giving up tremendous businesses in order to sit for four or maybe eight or whatever the period of time is. But I think we're going to see some tremendous talent, tremendous talent coming in. We have many people for every job. I mean no matter what the job is, we have many incredible people. I think, Reince, you can sort of just confirm that. The quality of the people is very good. ... We're trying very hard to get the best people. Not necessarily people that will be the most politically correct people, because that hasn't been working. So we have really experts in the field. Some are known and some are not known, but they're known within their field as being the best. That's very important to me.

The other candidates are all good men. But I sincerely believe I am the person this moment calls for.

We need -- we need somebody -- we need somebody that literally will take this country and make it great again. We can do that.

Our country needs a truly great leader, and we need a truly great leader now. We need a leader that wrote "The Art of the Deal." We need a leader that can bring back our jobs, can bring back our manufacturing, can bring back our military, can take care of our vets. Our vets have been abandoned. And we also need a cheerleader. ... We need somebody that can take the brand of the United States and make it great again. It's not great again.
