There is no reason why "bad news" should continue to take center stage and to spread everywhere at lightening speed while "the Good News" is relegated into the background and/or never heard at all. It is our responsibility as "Missionaries of Today" to champion with enthusiasm the dissemination of the Good News of victory of truth over lies, love over hatred, forgiveness over vengeance, humility over pride, unity over division, and peace over war.

To be silent, to listen, and then to share the Good News - is the best way to show our love and care for the world today - even as God Himself expressed His Divine Economy in response to our failing, searching and need. Only by taking our interlocator's problems as seriously as we recommend God's solutions to them can we establish and rebuild trust, so our words might once again be revealed in all their life-giving power - no matter whether spoken, texted or tweeted.

good news is good news first; how good matters rather little. So to have a pleasant life you should spread these small “affects” across time as evenly as possible. Plenty of mildly good news is preferable to one single lump of great news.

But you have to allow a little for the desire to evangelize when you think you have good news.

It is our duty to proclaim the Good News. Our approach to evangelisation is based on an integral vision of the human person, as a spiritual being who lives in the world. We proclaim salvation not only in heaven but already here on earth. We do not say "we are waiting for a perfect world in heaven" instead we say there is a world waiting for the saving message of the Lord. This is why we are active also in the social field.

"As a matter of fact, your happiness depends far more on the number of instances of positive feelings, what psychologists call "positive effect", then on their intensity when they hit. In other words, good news is good news first. How good matters rather little. So to have a pleasant life you should spread those small effects across time as evenly as possible. Plenty of mildly good news is preferable to one single lump of great news. The same is property in reverse applies to our unhappiness. It is better to lump all your pain into a brief period, rather than have it spread out over a long time."

The living out of the Good News that is the coming of the Kingdom of justice and peace is being blocked and undermined by the economic injustices that disregard the basic conditions for human dignity and integral human development. Jesus' mission of proclaiming the Good News to the poor is our mission as Church and therefore we must necessarily address the conditions within which the poor are greatly suffering.

Remembering that numerous Christians have been martyred for this dignified mission we should reaffirm that it is the essential mission of every individual Christian to deliver the Good News to the people of our time who have not yet heard of Christ.

The main message that we have is the message of hope. I'm absolutely convinced that what we proclaim is the good news.

In all the nations, the good news has to be preached first.

Good news travels slowly but arrives in the end, thank goodness. Bad news always arrives a day too soon.

"Good news is only really good to those directly involved. Most people lead such futile and useless lives that only bad news makes them feel better. If not better, certainly gooder. If one cannot gain recognition for anything else, he can rest well with the assurance that he is "good", which in most case equates with "right"."

Remember to smile and to practice what you preach. It is better to live up to and preach a few things than to cram your mind with great volumes of goodness and make none of them work. Why not pick out a few good things and try them out?

While we pray for the people who are intolerant towards the Good News - either because of misinformation, suspicion or any other false propaganda - we continue to share the Joy of the Gospel with our lives, our service and through preaching the Word of God. While we continue to pray and work with Spirit of Truth and Faith to build the Body of Christ, we also speak up for the right of religious freedom.
