"So we forgive each other?" The crooked smile climbs up one more time. "Again?"

And suddenly I realized that he knew everything that was going on in my head, all the time, and that he still loved me. Because who we are is behind all that.

"You love him," he says. Not an asking, just a fact.

He understands not only with his brain but with his heart. And that might be called love. Not quite sure, but maybe that's the key.

And I remember when I met him.
It was so clear that he was the only one for me.

O how I envied him his feelings!
