I believe fundamentally in the importance of having women at the decision-making table in many capacities, in every institution

'Only a woman who can think strongly can make beautiful and correct decisions.

Women belong in all places where decisions are being made. It shouldn't be that women are the exception.

Research has shown that where women’s inclusion is prioritized, peace is more probable, especially when women are in a position to influence decision making.

At the end of the day, women have the constitutional right to be at decision making tables and they should ensure that they have a voice and contribute to develop programmes and laws that benefit them.

For every decision made, look at things objectively with a gender-oriented lens.

It is essential to woman’s equality with man that she be the decisionmaker, that her choice be controlling. If you impose restraints that impede her choice, you are disadvantaging her because of her sex.

If women really to take part in decision making process of the country they should take such bold challenges by competing with men in all aspects of governances .

We must put our concern for the dignity of the woman front and center in all that we say and do

We definitely need more women in decision-making and particularly in parliaments. For example in the DRC, they have a constitution that acknowledges parity, but they need the law to effect that. And in addition to the law, they also need to make investments in women, their education, their ability to actually participate in diplomacy and therefore, in the decision-making that goes along. In addition, there are a number of investments that need to be made in line with the laws aimed at empowering women.

Educating young women and empowering women to come to decision-making tables is the strongest thing that we can do for the climate. When there are more women in boardrooms and in high-level positions in institutions, you get decisions that are wiser and longer term. Of course there are many men that also do this. But there is a tendency for women to be more collaborative, which is the basis of what we need to do, and they tend to think much more long term. [Women] have the first duty of care of our newborn children and hence, biologically, we’re geared towards that stewardship. But it is just plain stupid, frankly, not to use 50% of human potential. We are in such an emergency that we need to deploy 100% of our potential.

As women we have to fight until the decision-making-table is diverse.

I had this feeling ... women should be part and parcel of the whole movement, even of running the country. Women should be involved in decision making. That was my aim.
