The Ministry is leading a program of improving knowledge of the mining potential, diversifying partners, improving governance and the increasing of the contribution of the extractive industries to the development of our country.

As we celebrate these two glorious anniversaries, we are delighted to announce to you, dear people, the good news of the discovery of oil and gas, of good quality and in abundant quantities, in the region of in the Oriental provinces which are so dear to us.

The government has worked to maintain peace, order and stability throughout the country, and to bring an organised effort to the national administration, following the steps outlined in the country’s roadmap.

Not everyone understands this. But we (ROC government) have done what needed to be done, and we will keep doing so until the very end.

we have made very encouraging progress over the last two years. The actions we took will continue to help us deliver our best products and services to our clients and deliver sustained value to our shareholders .

After years of lagging behind, the United States has come to a better place on energy in recent years. We have seen domestic production rising. We have seen our emissions falling. We have created jobs. We have generated revenues. We have changed the world geopolitically even as we have lessened our impact on the climate. But these kinds of gains can't be taken for granted. They can't be actively ignored. They certainly should not be discarded. We have to acknowledge that this energy renewal has not been even across the country. It has taken place largely on State and private lands. We have very limited private land in Alaska. And instate activity--we have been proudly producing for a while. But we also have, again, much land that is federally held, and we have only seen help arrive with any kind of activity and production on Federal land in the past few years. I would suggest that we cannot afford that forward progress to be reversed, but unfortunately that is the way it feels right now. The threat is that this administration is going to take an approach that is going to take us backwards.

We are making progress and staying on track.

We have reached out to the ministry about upgrading healthcare facilities and received a positive response, though progress has been slow.

These results once again illustrate the effectiveness of concerted efforts, even if much remains to be done, including with regard to strengthening the capacities of national security and defense institutions,

We are cooperating on energy extraction and production, we think we can cooperate on agriculture, we can cooperate on financial services

The IOCs operating in the country has cooperated with government with regard to the geological surveys by supplying data where demanded. “Now we don’t have enough data to attract investors, but after the studies companies can now begin to explore for oil based on the findings.

The main advances made in the mining sector over the past two years have focused on improving the governance of the sector. In view of the significant challenges of the sector, the government has deemed it necessary to put in place a strategic framework that responds to new development challenges

even as looters were carrying off many of Iraq’s priceless antiquities from museums designed to commemorate the “cradle of civilization,” only one government building was protected by American troops: the petroleum ministry. In 2007, even as Iraq was disintegrating into sectarian violence, the Bush administration was carefully crafting legal documents — while the United States was still the occupying power — guaranteeing preferential access to the enormous profits expected from production of Iraq’s vast oil reserves for ExxonMobil, Chevron, BP, and Shell.

The discovered oil and gas should be exploited in such a manner to make Namibia energy independent, and we should strive to ensure that oil and gas production does not distort our country’s economy
