....I was so happy about what I did for myself with the role I played. For me as a brand, I don’t run away from challenges and hard work.

I've had quite a number of career highlights for which I feel truly blessed that my hard work has met with success. I'm so proud of my African heritage and always have a sense of fulfillment when I'm given the opportunity to serve.

I’m really grateful to have been someone who was able to bring representation at a time where there wasn’t very much

So, I feel like my work has been rewarding work. I have no regrets. I'm just thankful I had the honor and privilege to serve God and country.

My help had been needed and claimed; I had given it: I was pleased to have done something: trivial, transitory though the deed was, it was yet an active thing, and I was weary of an existence all passive.

It was a tough job [the 20 prints of his 'Chassidic Legends']; I have been working effortlessly and incessantly [during 1941-1943]. But it was fascinating and the job gave me also relaxation. Now that it is finished, I can look back on it as a part of my life. I am happy that I have been able to accomplish the work, although there will come critical comments too. You can not escape that, even if you are doing your best best.

The glory of the hard work was this: It didn’t feel like work; in fact, I enjoyed it.

I took pleasure when I could... I acted clearly and morally and without regret. I'm very lucky.

It’s been a very exciting year. It shows that you’ve got to seize the moment. It was a great experience. I set goals for myself and had a chance to accomplish some of them. I’m hoping that I can continue the rest of my career like this.

It's (being a Judge) been full, it's been interesting, it's been restful. and I can choose my times more effectively than before...but for me, it's been very good...no I have served, I finished, I'm happy to be retired, I'm happy I'm not each time saddled with having to write judgements and agonizing with decisions and so on and so forth...so, I really don't miss the work. And I don't think that most judges after a long pause on the bench miss the daily grind, I doubt it.

I should be grateful for the difficulties and challenges I experienced. I felt I am stronger and tougher in mind. And that is why I want to praise myself.

I was astonished at the pleasure to be derived from doing good.

You have to be content and hard working in life; it gives me great pleasure to spend from my sweat and not having to beg and compromise.

Perhaps partly because of the troubling business of being struggled over, I have come to value highly the privilege of getting away, of being alone. It has seemed to me that my most fruitful periods of work are the times when I have been able to get completely away from what others think, from professional expectations and daily demands, and gain perspective on what I am doing.
