Women’s rights must be respected and their place should not be in the shadows, but in the light.

I would urge that woman be placed in such a situation in society, by the recognition of her rights, and have such opportunities for growth and development, as shall raise her from this low, enervated, and paralyzed condition, to a full appreciation of the blessing of entire freedom of mind.

In order to encourage more women participation in leadership and government, the world should give them the support they require and create space for them.

As a woman, I think it’s always important you have support. I don’t think you can achieve a lot without support. And of course, your support can be from whoever you feel can support you.

Today, despite all of the gains we have made, neither men nor women have real choice. Until women have supportive employers and colleagues as well as partners who share family responsibilities, they don’t have real choice. And until men are fully respected for contributing inside the home, they don’t have real choice either. Equal opportunity is not equal unless everyone receives the encouragement that makes seizing those opportunities possible. Only then can both men and women achieve their full potential.1 None

Each person is born with very individual qualities and potential. We as a society owe it to women to create a truly supportive environment in which they too can grow and move forward.

. Remembering that what women need… is a voice and a job

My advice is that women, who are fortunate to rise to positions of power, influence or wealth must invest such in the commonwealth of women. Rather than join the “men’s club”, they must reach out and pull other women along. From the girl-child to that young struggling graduate, that lady professional in between jobs, that woman who has to joggle domestic and professional duties and the woman out there who badly needs just one opportunity to prove that she is capable, truly need our help. In little or big doses, it does not matter, just do it. Because out there are women who can and will succeed on merit if given the chance.

Women need to not put themselves on the defensive and see themselves as people, and work as hard as the men, the only thing we need to do is to make sure the same opportunities are available to both men and women.

We should have the heart to support another woman more whether she has got means or no means. I don't need to be given anything by any woman for me to support her. I should be able to support them because it is the right thing to do.

Beyond the rhetoric, I challenge men and women alike to support women and their causes, condemn in absolute terms all forms of gender based violence and crimes against women, and create around you, an environment that ensures that women can flourish and thrive.

I believe that Women should support women but you need to back it up with actions and truly mean it.

They should be at the forefront. Women are making sure that their households, husbands and children are being taken care of. I believe their rights should be different, we should always be favoured as women, everything that talks to a women should be different from men.
