It is not true that every woman God made likes cooking or is good at it, but they have been frightened into this corner. So, whether they like cooking or not they must pretend or they dare not admit that they don’t like it. They dare not admit that they are not good at it, and it goes on.

I used to have a friend who was a nurse (belated), she told me that she thinks the most rewarding of nursing is when you are in the nursing block, just seeing a child very sick today and tomorrow seeing that same child with a smile and getting better is just so much easier and rewarding than in the adult wards.

Mothering might be difficult but it is far more rewarding than many of the other tasks that we get up to. So don’t allow us (mothers) complain about how difficult it is because the reward far outweighs what we have to put in.
