The fears you avoid become stronger. The fears you confront become weaker while you get stronger.

Every life can be experienced from the point of view of the victim or the survivor. Life is a roller coaster. Good and bad things are going to happen regardless of what we think, how we feel or what we do. “Happiness” isn't a destination. It's a way of travel. I have no real control over the big events of my life. I can only hope to control my perception, my attitude and my reactions.
