Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and Robert Kennedy, as well as the men who surrounded Andrew Jackson. He served as Special Assistant to the President in John F. Kennedy's administration. He wrote a detailed account of the Kennedy Administration entitled A Thousand Days.
